The rules
- Tap words to hook them onto the train. Each word has to share at least one letter with the end of the word before it.
- Every shared letter is a point. COOPER and OPERA share OPER for 4 points; with RAT and ATE, COOPERATE scores 8.
- Drag a word sideways to change how much it overlaps, when it fits more than one way.
- A train needs at least 3 words, and there's no limit on how long it can be.
- Depart to send a finished word off. Each word counts once, at your best build of it.
Every day
- A new grid arrives at midnight US Eastern, for everyone at once.
- You get 90 seconds. Only your first try counts; replays are labelled when you share.
- Past days are in the menu if you missed one.
Questions
- Which words count?
- Any word in a standard English word game dictionary, about 170,000 of them, rare ones included. Offensive words are left out.
- Is it free?
- Yes. No account, no ads, no cookies. Your results stay in your own browser.
- How is it different from Wordle?
- Wordle has you guess one hidden word. Caboose! gives you the pieces and has you find as many words as you can by chaining them, against the clock.
- Who made it?
- Persnickety Studios, who also make Climb Guy and Crack It.
